It sounds like Gustaf has finally grown up. I went through a lot of the same thought processes after I turned 30 - what makes me happy? How do I manage the stress of life? etc. I can also relate to his comments on having a large family and competing for attention. Both my parents come from large families, and I'm on the younger end on both sides. That means no one pays attention to me, unless it's to give me shit or make fun of me. You do have to work hard to be seen/heard/acknowledged and that does have a huge role in shaping your personality.
